Founder

Sam (affectionately known as “Doc Roc”) and his team actively involve leaders and teams with the science of organization identity and strategy for real-world benefit, helping organizations to understand who they are so they can achieve sustainable and powerful results.


He specializes in working with cross-cultural and global teams having consulted leaders and organizations in more than 40 countries. Sam trains students in live business consultations in Costa Rica, France, China, and Japan in the Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) program for Pepperdine University.


He serves as a visiting and adjunct professor and designs courses in leadership theory and praxis, trends in management and business, organizational change and development, and strategic decision-making for numerous graduate programs.

His original research has been published in the Journal of Change Management, Journal of International Business and Management, Organization Development Practitioner, Graziadio Business Review, and others. His work was recently featured at European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management, in Vienna, Austria.

He holds a MA in Human Development, MS in Organization Development, and PhD in Human and Organizational Systems.

His book Leading by Being and Doing addresses the personal side of identity, guiding individuals to harmonize “who I am” with “what I do” for a more satisfying and joyful career.
