this is not helping me lose weight

I was hoping to reach a new goal by December 31st. In 8 months I lost 40 lbs doing Weight Watchers. Actually, it was 6-1/2 months.

Since September I’ve been stuck.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that my weight loss plateaued at the beginning of the comfort food, holiday baking, and cookie decorating chaos season.

I thought I’d kick start the downward trend by joining a local gym & setting a new goal: 50 lbs by the new year!

At two weeks away & 9 pounds to go I don’t think I’m going to make it. And the fact that I’m making these delicious foods in those same two weeks is definitely not going to help.

Since I also don’t want you to lose weight during the holiday season, I thought I’d share with you the recipes I’m shopping for today.

Merry Christmas?

Here’s my favorite fudge that my Grandma made every year. I love fudge! I don’t think I’ll make the caramels this year, but they are yummy if you want to try them!

And here’s the recipe for what we’ll be having Christmas morning: baked apple porridge and homemade hot cocoa. So yummy!!!

As you can see, it may be difficult for me to reach that 50 pound goal by December 31st. I guess I’m going to have to work extra hard at the gym!

What are you making for Christmas?

Oh man…I SO had this inspiration in October to try to lose 20 lbs and while I have a legitimate reason that makes it hard to be consistent {chronic pain issues}, I know that I can still do it and then for one reason or another I have talked myself out of it! We shall see in January….but I HATE making new years resolutions so we shall see!
