From the mouths of babes…

This week was full of interesting conversations with my children…

“But who holds their hand when they cross the street?” – Eli’s response to my explanation that an orphan is a child who doesn’t have a mommy or a daddy.

“Mommy, Ezra’s doing something really bad! He put daddy’s guitar string around his neck!” – Cora’s alert to me that I need to teach her the difference between a guitar STRING and a guitar STRAP.

“Yeth, I have a lispth.” – Ezra’s emphatic answer to our friend’s question about his speech impediment.

Silas doesn’t talk yet, but he’s growing closer and closer to crawling…which lets me know I need to start remembering to close the bathroom door or clean around the toilet better.

I’ll leave you now with that visual…

  1. Yep, they keep life interesting! It does amaze me how that keeps us young while simultaneously making us old. It’s a real mystery there. :)

    Thanks Melissa!

    • Haha! I think it’s the combination of watching kids shows (keeping us young) and waking us up in the middle of the night (makes me very, very, very old). :)

  2. friend! so precious!! let me know if you want some tips to do with ezra at home for his lisp. . .i’m a speech-language pathologist :) free tips anytime for friends. . .

    • Tips are great! All three of our oldest have had lisps so far. Eli has completely outgrown it, and Cora’s is almost gone. Ezra’s is too cute though. Haha!
