Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbors…Conference?

It’s starting. I can feel my eyes turning green as I sit here.

Conference season is upon me. Leadership conferences. Ministry conferences. Blogging conferences. Writing conferences. You name it, there’s most likely a conference for it…and I’m not going.

Now before I sound too much like a pouty 5-year-old {too late?} let me take a step back.

I love to learn {anyone else hearing Hip Hop Harry? Just me? K. Continue reading}.

I also love to feel included and in the know. Mostly this is because I’m competitive and I can’t be a contender if I’m not on an even playing field.

So, as the tweets and blog posts start rolling in about this conference and that convention I feel left out and very insignificant.

Looking at the situation logically, it’s silly of me to even entertain the idea that I, pregnant or with a newborn (depending upon the date of the conference), could attend anything this year. Not to mention what I would do with the three children I already have at home who would need to be taken care of.

So, with green eyes glistening, all I ask is this: Could you please share your notes?

And hopefully one year I can come too.

So I wrote this post last night, but hadn’t published it yet…

Guess what I found today?!

A free online blog conference THIS WEEK!

So for all those other bloggers out there who are in the same boat as me…here’s our chance!

What’s something that you have been feeling envious about that just isn’t possible in your life right now? Have you found ways to ease that jealousy without giving up on your dream?
