It seems such a short time ago that I was walking around with “thankles” and making weekly trips to the hospital for false labor.
How can it be time for Ezra to turn 1 already?
It’s been a year of limited sleep and numerous feedings, teething, and new beginnings. He’s learned to roll over, sit up, crawl and now walk. He has gone from communicating his needs by crying and fussing to saying, “Daaaah!” (done) when he’s done eating and “Mmmm!” when he’s hungry. He greets people who come into our house with a hearty, “Haaaa!” (hi)
Our little man is so unique from his brother and sister, which has created challenges and surprises. We’ve discovered that he’s shy and becomes very introverted when he gets in big crowds of people. He takes a while to warm up to people, but once he does the personality comes out in full force. He loves to laugh and sing and dance to music. He likes to pretend to talk on the phone (a trick he learned from his sister) and to play with the Wii controllers (that one’s from Eli).
He can sense when a bathroom door is open and his favorite trick is to take all of the things out of the drawers and cupboards in the kitchen. He is sweet and cuddly and oh so rollie-pollie!
We are all so happy that Ezra is a part of our family and I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for us as we watch him grow and discover more of the world around him.
Happy Birthday Ez-Bez!
