We finally did it! This weekend I graduated from Life Pacific College with a B.A in Ministry & Leadership. I was so excited to have one of my best friends, Jessica, there to celebrate and graduate with me. We have both taken over a decade to graduate and there were definitely times when we felt we would never be done.
It was a momentous occasion for me and I’m not quite sure what to do with myself now. I have a million different plans running through my head but God is only telling me one thing, “Wait. Pause.”
I have a tendency to rush through things and not pause to appreciate it. This weekend I kept reminding myself to take it all in. The worship at Baccalaureate and the prayer of commissioning that Dave Winfrey and Larry Powers said over me; the words that Dick Scott spoke during commencement; walking on the stage to accept my diploma and shaking the hands of the President of Foursquare, Jack Hayford, and the President of the Bible college, Robert Flores, and having Josh yell out, “That’s my wifey!”
Those are all special moments that should be savored.
So, as difficult as it is for me, I’m pausing to take it all in and to pray about what God has for me in the future.
Hopefully He doesn’t make me wait too long…
